From the hospital to the whole country: the FFP2 mask has had an amazing career. Originally intended for medical staff, older people, in particular, liked to use the mask with filter effect in the course of the corona pandemic. It has been clear since Tuesday: the FFP2 mask will soon make it into every household. Because it should - in addition to surgical masks - become compulsory throughout Germany on public transport and in retail. Surprisingly: The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) officially advises against private use of the FFP2 masks on its website, as the RBB initially reported. How does that fit together?
